After extensive deliberations, the officers and trustees agreed that in light of the profound uncertainty and very real health risks related to COVID-19, and in light of our host university’s announcement about the suspension of sponsored events until further notice, it is not possible to meet as planned. On March 19, the 2020 meeting of the Berkshire Conference of Women, Genders and Sexualities (the Big Berks,) scheduled for May 28-31, 2020, at Johns Hopkins University was cancelled.

While we cannot be together at Johns Hopkins University, the spirit of the Big Berks 2020 persists. To nurture our remarkable community until we can gather together again, we are happy to share a small taste of the program.

May 28 to August 31, 2020
This is a great opportunity to browse new titles from the heroic presses that have supported Berks members and conferences over the years. Good news! They are offering discounts just as if we were present at the meeting in Baltimore. It’s time to enhance your summer reading lists with women’s history panache!

The next “Big Berks” will take place at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD on May 28-31, 2020.

The Book Exhibit remains an integral part of the Berkshire Conference. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to present your list, meet prospective adopters and authors, and make significant sales. We will make every effort to facilitate your participation, helping you to resolve logistical or commercial concerns that might arise.

As of February 21, 2020, there are no more booth spaces available for the Conference.
