Santa Clara weather forecast on June 28, 2023 (11:35am PST)

Registration and Key Pick Up for rooms in the campus residence halls

Graham Hall
• Wednesday, 28 June: 2-6.30 pm
• Thursday, 29 June: 8-5 pm
• Friday, 30 June: 8-5 pm
• Saturday, 1 July: 8-4 pm
• Sunday, 2 July: 8-10 am

You can pick up your registration materials–lanyards, name tags, tote bags with your printed program, your key card and a parking pass if you are staying on campus in residential housing (dorms), and other information—in Graham Hall during the registration hours listed above. If you arrive after the registration hours, you can register the next day.

Important: If your lodging is in an on-campus residence hall, you must get your key card (and a parking pass if you are parking on campus). Please note (see the parking information below) that overnight parking on campus requires a different pass from the one used for daytime parking.

To get your key card after registration closes for the day, go to the front desk in Graham Hall, where you can pick up your key card (and a parking pass if you need it) until 9:45 pm. After that, you can pick up the card and pass at Campus Safety, located by the Main Parking structure, just a 4-minute walk from Graham.
The Campus Safety Office’s non-emergency number is: 408.554.4441

Ground Transportation from San Francisco International Airport to SCU

Taxis, Lyft, and Uber are the most convenient (the ride is about 45-50 minutes) but quite expensive ($100-140).  Ride-Share directions: For arrivals before 9:45 pm, navigate to Graham Hall, Santa Clara University. For arrivals after 9:45, if you need a key card for an on-campus room, please get it at the Campus Safety office, as noted above. To get your registration materials, go to registration as early as possible the following day. If you go from San Francisco Airport to Campus Safety, have your ride-share driver navigate to 407 Palm Dr., Santa Clara, CA 95053. Campus Safety is located by the main parking structure off Sherman Street.

OR—a bit longer but more affordable

BART or bus to Millbrae Caltrain Station and then Caltrain to Santa Clara Station. Either take BART (train) from SFO to Millbrae Caltrain Station ($6-$9, 4- minute ride). Or take the bus #292 to Millbrae Caltrain Station ($3-$5). Board Caltrain (south direction) at Milbrae Station to Santa Clara Station ($3-$9, about 65 minutes). The Santa Clara Caltrain station is directly across from the SCU campus. It’s about a 10-minute walk from the station to Graham Hall (registration).

Ground Transportation from San Jose International Airport to SCU

Taxis, Lyft, and Uber are about $20 and take about 15 minutes. Please see the information about ride-share directions above.

OR—more affordable

Bus from the San Jose Airport to Santa Clara Transit Center (also known as the Santa Clara Train Station): take the VTA #60 bus from the airport directly to the Transit Center/Train Station. Make sure you get on a bus going in the direction of Santa Clara Transit Center (not Milpitas; #60 buses going in both directions pick up passengers at the airport). The bus is $1 (senior fare) to $3 (standard adult fare). The return trip from the Transit Center to the airport is free. This is a 10-15 minute ride. The walk to Graham Hall from the station is about 10 minutes.

Driving to Santa Clara University

If you are coming from Highway 101: Follow US 101S to CA-82N/The Alameda In San Jose. Exit I-880 S toward Santa Cruz/Los Gatos. Take Exit 2 for CA-82/ The Alameda. Turn Left onto The Alameda. Graham Hall is to the right.

If you are coming from Interstate 880: Take The Alameda exit. Travel north on The Alameda. Graham Hall is to the right.

If you’re coming from Interstate 280: Follow I-280 S toward San Jose. Merge onto I-880 N toward Oakland. Exit CA-82N. Left on the Alameda. Graham Hall is to the right.

Parking on Campus

Parking fees will not be charged! So you can park in any garage or parking lot during the conference without getting a parking pass. One exception—people who are staying overnight in on-campus residences and using the parking areas for those residence halls will get a special-event parking pass at registration. That pass is also free. Make sure to ask for it.

There are two large parking garages, the Main Garage, which is closer to Graham Hall, and the North Garage, which is closer to O’Connor Hall, Mayer Theatre, and the Recital Hall. Both garages are no more than a 10-minute walk from the campus buildings we will be using. You can enter the Main Garage from the main entrance to the University, turning left after the kiosk. The North Garage may be entered from Alviso Street (off Benton Street) or The Alameda (also off Benton Street).

If you are staying in a residence hall, you will need to park in a space indicated by C, CN, CW. This requires the special events pass you can get at registration.

Meals

You must have your conference registration name tag to get meals. Your conference registration covers breakfasts, lunches, coffee breaks, and late afternoon receptions that serve as a dinner on Thursday and Friday, as well as a dinner on Saturday. If you arrive after registration has closed, you will be able to attend the reception by letting us know about your late arrival. Please register as early as possible the next day.

  • Breakfasts and lunches are in Market Place in Benson.
  • Coffee breaks are at the Book Exhibit in Benson.
  • Hearty hors d’oeuvres will be served Thursday and Friday evenings, and a Southwest dinner will be served Saturday.
  • Light receptions on Wednesday evening on the Graham Lawn (for early arrivals) and Saturday evening (at the dance).
