Leadership

The leadership of the Berks is guided by its officers. Questions about the triennial conference, initiatives you would like the Berkshire Conference to undertake, or service on Berkshire Conference Committees should go to the President. Questions about the annual meeting, governance, and communications should go to the Vice President. Questions about major gifts and other tax-deductible contributions to the Berkshire Conference should be directed to the Executive Administrator. If you have a question about membership, registration for the Little Berks, or are not sure to whom your question should be directed, contact the Executive Administrator.

While The Berkshire Conference is guided by its leadership, committees drawn from the membership carry out, and sometimes initiate, the organization’s most important tasks. For the triennial conference, this means a program committee of up to forty members and a local arrangements committee that is at least that large. Prize committees have between 5 and 7 members, and the nominating committee locates candidates for office. Being part of this work gives you an opportunity to shape the future of the organization and network with scholars outside your own institution.
