Too little is still known about the history of women’s history and the role women have played more generally in the historical profession. Our archives are kept at The Arthur and Elizabeth Schlesinger Library on the History of Women in America at the Radcliffe Institute, Harvard University. You can access the archive finding aid here.
The Berks also has an entry on Wikipedia, which we hope will be extended and improved by members, as well as by students who are interested in the history of women scholars in the United States. We have assembled a timeline of major events in our history below.
If you have entries to contribute or ephemera in your own files that should be added to our collection at the Schlesinger or our online archive, please let us know through our Contact page.
