The Department of History at Central Washington University invites applications for a one-year full-time visiting assistant professor in U.S. colonial history to begin September 2010. Desired secondary fields include Atlantic world, U.S. environmental, African American, gender, and/or U.S. military history. A PhD in history is required; applicants who are ABD nearing completion will be considered. Evidence of successful college-level teaching required. The candidate must be prepared to teach both halves of the U.S. history survey, plus upper-level courses in colonial U.S. and other areas of specialization.
