The Corcoran Department of History at the University of Virginia invites applications for a tenure-track, full-time assistant professor in twentieth-century U.S. history. All research fields will be considered. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in scholarship and a commitment to undergraduate and graduate education. Anticipated start date is August 25, 2013. For appointment at the assistant professor level, applicants must hold a Ph.D. by the time of appointment. Candidates with ABD status may be considered for the position, with the title of acting assistant professor.
